Shopping for tween boys can be tricky, but stocking stuffers are one of my favourite parts of Christmas gift giving!
I’ve rounded up 15 stocking stuffers for tween boys, including games, sports accessories, practical gifts, and a few potty-humour surprises (it is tween boys we’re talking about after all). Most of these are things my own tween son has used and loved.

1. Monopoly Deal | $8
For years, Monopoly Deal was the #1 played game in our house and our tween son, in particular, could not get enough of it. I love that it’s quick (10–15 minutes max), easy to learn and play, but does involve some strategy. It’s a lot of fun and I highly recommend.
2. Nerds Gummy Clusters | $8
I’m not a fan, but my kids both really like Nerds Gummy Clusters, and both would enjoy getting a bag of these in their stockings.
3. Nike Hat | $19
Indy loves Nike hats! They’re his absolute favourite.
4. Whoopee Cushion | $9 (4-pack)
Did anyone else get these in their stockings growing up? Just me? Whoopee cushions are such a classic gag gift.
Are they juvenile and silly? YES. That’s the whole point!!! Every few years these show up in Indy’s stocking and he always loves receiving them.
5. Harmonica | $15
A harmonica was one of Indy’s stocking stuffers last year, and he used it all the time in the weeks after Christmas. It has admittedly been relegated to a miscellaneous toy bin in his closet, but every once in a while he pulls it out, and I love that he owns one (and it doesn’t take up much space).

6. Mad Libs | $6
Mad Libs are a big hit in our household. It’s like a choose-your-own-adventure, and another time when kids can go all in on the potty humour. There are holiday-centric versions, too.
7. Travel Journal | $11
This exact travel journal is what we bought for each of the kids before our European adventure. Belle wrote in it every single day we were away; Indy wrote quite a bit, but decidedly less than his teenage sister. They each complained a bit about journalling, but both are now thrilled they have this hand-written play by play.
This is a high quality product for the price point, and a great keepsake. (I know some adults who use and love this journal, too.)
8. Racket Grip Tape | $6 (3-pack)
Racket grip tape. This is Indy’s favourite brand, and for anyone who loves racket sports—badminton, tennis, pickleball—updating grip tape is an inexpensive upgrade.
9. Invisible Ink Pens | $7 (5-pack)
Invisible ink pens are so much fun, and I’ve purchased these multiple times over the years for gift bags at birthday parties. They work… really well!
10. Earbud Cleaner | $6
An earbud cleaner would work for anyone on your list, but tween boys can use a bit of extra help in the hygiene department sometimes.

11. Funny Coffee Mug | $12
Indy LOVES coffee (I know, I know)… and last year I bought him a silly mug (no longer available; it said A yawn is a silent scream for coffee). I thought this one was similarly hilarious, and I know my tween would 100% love it.
12. BeanBoozled | $10
BeanBoozled is funny and gross and sure to give lots of laughs and complaints. Some of the “bad” flavours are truly disgusting, but that’s part of the fun if you’re doing it with other tweens.
13. Nike Water Bottle | $14
Indy was gifted this Nike water bottle for being a volunteer at our local tennis club. It’s great, and I find the mechanism works better than the ubiquitous green/orange Gatorade bottles.
Plus, it has a little spot on the lid for writing your name. Thank goodness because my tween boy can lose a water bottle like nobody’s business…
14. Indoor Soccer Ball | $20
We’re huge fans of the IKEA Sparka balls (about $5!), but if you don’t like close to an IKEA, this indoor soccer ball is a great comparable option (admittedly, a bit more expensive).
We have spent many, many hours kicking indoor soccer balls up and down our hallway.
15. Captain Shower Gel | $8 (24 oz)
In our house, the Captain shower gel technically belongs to John, but Indy started using it and LOVES it.
Your turn!
- Do you have a tween boy on your Christmas shopping list this year? What’s going in his stocking?
- What’s one stocking stuffer you remember being especially excited to receive as a kid?
