Hey, hey, hey!!!
I’m legitimately feeling sad that I won’t have anymore of these Cool Blogger’s Walking Club recaps to pull together until April.
At risk of sounding saccharine, it brings me so much joy to receive walking updates from each and every one of you. This little club couldn’t exist without enthusiastic participation. So one final, huge thank you from me to you.
BLOG FRIEND WALKS

Sophie wrote in from a very soggy Australia:
CBWC Week 4- was a week of crazy weather! While there were a couple of sunny walks admiring the spring flowers, there was also wading through my flooded property and plenty of umbrella walks. The sun’s finally back out, at least for a little while.
Eeks. That is… a lot of water!

Engie writes: We did it!!! Here’s a collage of me with an absolutely crazy dog. I sort of forget that Hannah is a dog who enjoys cooler weather until it does get cooler and she turns into a puppy again. Here’s my last roundup.
Thanks for putting this together – it’s so fun to see everyone’s photos and how varied our experiences are.
I’m with Hannah on cooler (fall weather); I think she and I both draw the line at winter, though.

Elinoora got moving in both the Netherlands and Belgium:
Final roundup! I’m quite pleased, I managed walks, cycling, pilates, bodypump, yoga and 2 runs. I’ve added a few pictures – sunset while walking around in Rotterdam, the bridge was open while cycling home. And a selfie from walking around during the mini photoshoot we did Saturday afternoon (in Brussels, Belgium!).
That is one very cool looking bridge!

Katy spotted something colourful—and resilient—in Texas:
Thanks for hosting this! It was fun and motivational!
Here’s my wrap up post. Weirdest thing I saw? I don’t know if this counts as weird, but I’m always amazed at plants that can grow in asphalt!
I responded by saying: Love it! Bloom where we’re planted… even if it’s not the place we’d choose to find ourselves? A spiritual life lesson, perhaps?

Jacquie writes in from British Columbia:
No bears or wedding walks this week, ha, ha (it touched me how much people loved the walk with my daughter on her wedding day).
Deer Lake and Fraser Foreshore Park in Burnaby are from my regular walks with friends, a church in our neighbourhood lit up with blue lights, and my neighbour’s heart-shaped lights displayed on their garage.
I think I could enjoy a long time spent in one of those waterside chairs with a good book in hand.

Laura writes from South Carolina:
Here are photos from the last few days of October! Hiking is so helpful for my mental health. I also got to teach labs at our dairy cattle farm and horse farm this week, so photos of those trips are included as well, along with the requisite Koda-goes-on-a-walk photo.
Gorgeous colours (and the cheeky cow shot is hilarious)!

Kyria‘s travels are always an inspiration!
Here’s my collage from the last few days in Liverpool and the link to my wrap up post, which will air today! I am looking forward to the final round up! Have an excellent week!
I had to copy the final stats from Kyria’s month and share them here:
- Total steps: 677,164
- Average per day: 21,844
- Days with < 10 minutes of movement: 0 🥳
- # of runs: 4
- Dog walks: 3
- Days walked with friends: 15/31
- Places walked: CA (multiple), MA (airport), Northern Ireland, England
Now I’m wishing I had a total step count for the month. I can tell you one thing—it was lower than Kyria’s!

Sabine writes from the Netherlands:
The collage features a street with lovely autumn leaves as well as an impression of autumn from another town in the Netherlands (teaching a lecture series at a different university), the (earlier) sunset (over a parkdeck, but it was genuinely lovely) as well as mushrooms that I saw on one of the walks.
Gorgeous photos!! And I love the geometry of the car park at sunset!
ELISABETH’S WALKS

I tracked my daily walks with star stickers! What can I say… I’m a sucker for gold stars (though I branched out and used other colours too).
DAY 29: THURSDAY
Another beautiful day. This time, I’m walking in New Brunswick.

Dad had an appointment just after lunchtime, so Mom and I had him drop us off on the road and we walked back to their house.
Just about every step was crunchy because there are downed leaves everywhere. I will admit I was a bit chilly—even with a sweater, coat, headband, and gloves. Brr. Thank goodness for the sunshine or I would have turned into a veritable Popsicle.
DAY 30: FRIDAY
An overcast, but mild, day.
Mom, Dad, and I fit in a walk in the morning… and just in the nick of time. The afternoon was rainy!

DAY 31: SATURDAY
This is it! The final day of walking for October 2026. Today was sunny, but MUCH cooler (and windier).
But we fit in a walk nonetheless.

Look at the size of this leaf!

OCTOBER MAPS!
And now we get to one of my favourite parts of the whole month of this global movement initiative—getting to see exactly where everyone is walking.
There is something tremendously satisfying about realizing that other people are getting out and exploring their world which may look very different from our own. Regardless of the geographic distance, we’re all walking under the same sun and moon (though at very different times of the day).
NORTH AMERICA
I have a flex goal (if I can keep this tradition going for subsequent years) of turning the whole North American continent a single colour. CAN YOU IMAGINE???
Just look at all the states and provinces represented here. I love it! (And if you know anyone in central Canada or the US, give them a nudge in April, will you?)

And just for fun, let’s look at the earlier iterations of CBWC where I mapped our walking locations.

Zooming out, let’s look at the global scale.
I’ll admit, it might look slightly less impressive… but also, there are a total of FIFTEEN different nations represented here and FOUR different continents. That’s very impressive.

And that’s a wrap. Happy walking far beyond this month of collective movement. See you again in April.
Your turn.
- Most impressive view you’ve ever seen on a hike or walk?
- Favourite walking companion (yourself counts!)?
- Are you planning to join in with the April 2027 CBWC edition?
