Eaten at Taco Bell – Many times, though not in a few years. I like Taco Bell, but if you’ve never had it, why bother. It’s a specific taste. Craving Taco Bell is like craving McDonalds.
Ridden a Segway – No – though we had a neighbor once who had one and loved it.
Gotten lost in a corn maze – I don’t think so. We went through a maze at a pineapple plantation in Hawaii, but was there a corn maze? I doubt it. Does pineapple grow tall enough to have a maze? I need to go look this up. Anyway, I didn’t like it, it was hot and yucky.
Applied lipliner – sure, maybe once or twice. Not my thing.
Used a manual (non-motorized) lawnmower – yes, we had a lawn for a bit in our tiny yard, and that’s the only kind that made sense. I’ve never used a motorized one though.
Been a spectator (or participant—that likely goes without saying) at the Olympics – Yes, I brought home the silver in dressage. LOL. As if.
Eaten ceviche – I love ceviche
Waitressed at a restaurant – absolutely. I worked for a year as a waitress in high school. I loved that job, it was a lot of fun. Not waitressing, just the coworkers.
Used a snowblower – No. I hit someone with a snow shovel once (he was beating up my brother)
Had a microblading procedure done – No, I’m not even sure what that entails. I think my friend had it done and loved it, but I’m too chicken.
A pineapple maze?? Now that is a first!
I’ve definitely used a motorized mower! I can’t imagine how long it would take to mow our lawn with a manual!!!
Wow! I feel like I need more details about this snow shovel incident.
I think the only one of these I’ve done is applied lipliner, and that was many years ago. I’ve never ridden a lawnmower but I did ride a tractor once! My friend had a potato farm and I helped with the harvest.
In Canada you can get a tractor license at 14 so I knew a lot of boys that did that before getting their driver’s license. I feel like I must have been on a tractor at some point because we were friends with people who owned a dairy farm and did their own haying… but I can’t remember it?
I probably used lip liner occasionally in my 20s- probably didn’t look very good.
I have stood outside corn mazes waiting for kids but never gone in myself.
We found a push lawnmower when we moved into our house many years ago. We tried using it- took forever, not very even, such a pain. My husband looked into buying an attachment to hook it up to a bike, but it was cheaper just to buy a new gas powered lawn mower. Which was a pain to start- I couldn’t pull the cord hard enough so I didn’t have to mow. 😀 We have an electric mower currently-easy to start so I’ll mow if needed, but I now have teenagers to do the work.
And that’s it. My twin volunteered at the winter Olympics in Vancouver but it wasn’t glamorous- she said she stood in a hallway directing people where to go a lot of the time and didn’t dt get to wach many events. I worked at McDonald’s, but that’s not waitressing. I don’t even know what microblading is- probably not ice skating!
Corn mazes hold ZERO appeal for me. Both my kids have done them, though.
Microblading is almost like a temporary tattoo for your eyebrows. It looks… painful! Also, expensive for being temporary!
You know I love these posts 🙂 Only five for me this time.
1. Eaten at Taco Bell – once, never again
2. Ridden a Segway – no
3. Gotten lost in a corn maze – no
4. Applied lipliner – badly
5. Used a manual (non-motorized) lawnmower – a lot, but have managed to get my husband to take over that chore
6. Been a spectator (or participant—that likely goes without saying) at the Olympics – I was lucky enough to go to a session of Tae Kwon Do at the Excel
Centre during the London 2012 Olympics. One and only time.
7. Eaten ceviche – doesn’t appeal
8. Waitressed at a restaurant – in my teens as a way to earn spending money. I also did bar work for a number of years to help pay the bills
9. Used a snowblower – not much call for it here.
10. Had a microblading procedure done – no and really doesn’t appeal.
Hahah. Once, never again!
Be thankful you don’t have cause to use a snowblower!
I have done 5 of these things and maybe 6 if you count me seeing the Olympic torch being paraded past me many, many years ago. I’ve eaten at Taco Bell, ridden a Segway, applied lipliner, used a manual lawnmower and waitressed at a restaurant.
Ohhhh! I would LOVE to see the Olympic torch.
I think of the list, the one I’d most like to try is the Segway. It sounds fun.
Never have I ever been to the olympics – I’ve been a spectator at the Commonwealth Games, but with Australia hosting in 2032 I’m really hoping that I’ll be able to go see some events! Especially since some of them are in my home region, only 15-20mins away (hello marathon event I’m looking at you).
I’ve never had microblading done, and I’ve never used a snowblower. In fact, I’ve only ever been in enough snow that it was at the top of a mountain, and I could barely scrape enough to make the world’s smallest snowball. I’m going to be utterly useless when I actually get to be in proper snow for the first time. My friends that live in America giggled at me when I realised for the first time that the salt you put on your cars to help with melting the ice isn’t actually table salt that you just go and sprinkle around like fairy dust (yeahh….died of embarrassment that day!)
I also had to google what ceviche is, and I’ve never been lost in a corn maze (hedge mazes and timber mazes yes).
I would love to know what you think of a “proper” snow!! It’s fun but a lot of work to do life (shovelling, all the gear). Blergh.
How fun to be so close to an upcoming Olympics! I hope it works out for you to see some events.
I waitressed all through university – it is a hard job!
I went to see the Ladies’ Short Program at the 88 Olympics (figure skating!) I also saw a lot of practices at the Oval for speed skating.
I have briefly used a snowblower and I have been in a corn maze. I also went through an unfortunate lip liner phase.
I don’t think I knew you were a waitress. You must have been INCREDIBLE!
“Unfortunate lip liner phase” hahahaha!
Another fun list, Elisabeth. It would be quicker to list what of those things I have done. I have eaten at Taco Bell precisely once. Didn’t dislike the food, but I rarely eat fast food and if I am going to, it would probably be a burger. I once had a very tiny yard and used a reel mower. It worked beautifully for what I needed at the time. As for lip cosmetics, I tried lipliner once but must have done it wrong because I looked very clownish. I don’t even wear lipstick. I obsess that it might be on my teeth to the point that it’s too stressful, lol.
I don’t wear lipstick either!! Too much fuss and I look ridiculous with it on.
I’ve only done two of these- eaten at Taco Bell (soooo many times in my 20s and 30s- not anymore) and used a manual lawn mower- that’s what my parents had growing up. I think this is the lowest score I’ve gotten on your Would You Rather series!
I think Taco Bell is a bigger deal in the US? It’s certainly not an easy option where I live.
Wait what… Never Have I Ever. Not Would You Rather. Sheesh…
I looked it up, it’s not a pineapple maze (They grow too low to the ground) but it is tropical plants.
I think the snow shovel incident is pretty brief. We had a neighborhood bully. He was beating up my brother. I saw the shovel sitting there, and I picked it up and clocked him over the head with it. The story is that he was out like a light, but I don’t know if that’s true or not. I don’t remember the incident – I was probably 6.
I don’t condone violence but, also, GO JULIE! I’m glad he wasn’t permanently hurt, but I hope he learned a lesson and stopped being a bully!!!
Eaten at Taco Bell. – I think I’ve been a few times but it has been 25+ years. I might have had nachos or perhaps just gotten a drink because I’ve never eaten a taco. Taco salad, sure, but an actual taco, no.
Ridden a Segway. – It looks cool, but I’m risk adverse when it comes to rides, so I would probably chicken out.
Gotten lost in a corn maze. – Never entered a corn maze.
Applied lipliner. – Nope, rarely wear make-up. I’m not a morning person and would choose the snooze alarm over everything optional.
Used a manual (non-motorized) lawnmower. Yes, I used to have one, the yard is pretty small. Eventually, I upgraded to a battery powered mower and I love the self propel feature. Sold the manual one at a yard sale.
Been a spectator (or participant—that likely goes without saying) at the Olympics. – Nope, but on a high school band field trip we visited the Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta and ran around in the fountains that are shaped like the Olympic rings and got somewhat wet. The band director said “if you get the bus seats wet, you have to sit in that wet seat for the whole (14 hour) trip home!”
Eaten ceviche. – No way! I only eat fish if it is battered and deep fried!
Waitressed at a restaurant. – I’m the oldest, so I was usually babysitting my little sister and never had a job in high school. I’m college I worked in the library.
Used a snowblower. – Nope, but I’ve though about getting one of the little ones about the size of a weed eater.
Had a microblading procedure done. – Sounds painful, I try to avoid unnecessary pain.
I’m with you on avoiding unnecessary pain!!!
Self-propelled is a MUST with a lawnmower!
I’d be the parent warning my kids about sitting in a bus wet all day 🙂
Eaten at Taco Bell. – Sure. The Taco Supreme was my go-to order before they took it off the menu. It’s so expensive now, though, I can’t justify going. I can make tacos at home for a quarter of the price.
Ridden a Segway. – Nope.
Gotten lost in a corn maze. – Yes. We went to a haunted corn maze one year at night and couldn’t find our way out. A guy with a scary costume and a chainsaw showed us how to get out.
Applied lipliner. – Of course.
Used a manual (non-motorized) lawnmower. – Yes. When I lived in a house in Minneapolis, the only lawnmower was manual.
Been a spectator (or participant—that likely goes without saying) at the Olympics. – No. I don’t really have a desire to, but I bet it would be fun if I did it.
Eaten ceviche. – Yes.
Waitressed at a restaurant. – No. Imagine how many drinks I would spill!
Used a snowblower. – Way too many times.
Had a microblading procedure done. – I don’t even know what this means.
6/10. What does that say about me (or you)?
What has happened to fast food? I feel like it’s SO EXPENSIVE these days??!!
A haunted corn maze sounds terrifying. I’m going to get lost AND frightened. No thanks!
I would make a terrible waitress. I am not coordinated!
This was almost my first” ME TOO ELISABETH” until I got to ceviche! You can’t live where i live and never eat ceviche. (I just have to ensure it is cilantro-free!). I think I’ve put lipliner on but I don’t think I’ve ever actually LEFT it on. It never looks right!!!
oh, and any sort of “maze” activity is my nightmare. HARD NO.
ME TOO!!
I love, love, love cilantro but have a sister who thinks it tastes like soap. Do you get the soap thing, too? Or just dislike the taste? I find the whole cilantro taste thing fascinating.
Eaten at Taco Bell – yes but I prefer a chain called Taco John’s which is found in the Midwest. Phil prefers Taco Bell
Gotten lost in a corn maze. – I’ve never ever done a corn maze!
Applied lipliner. – yep, when I was younger/in college.
Eaten ceviche. – yes! I love ceviche!!
Waitressed at a restaurant. – that was my college job and I loved it!
Used a snowblower. – we own one but Phil operates it.
There’s a fabulous corn maze at Afton Apple in Hastings! It was our preferred corn maze in the Twin Cities!
I’ll have to try ceviche. It sounds very fresh.
I cannot picture you loving waitressing; this is so fascinating to me!!
Woo hoo a fresh batch of never have I ever! Here are the ones that I can weigh in:
– Taco Bell is my go to travel lunch place, but between you and me it’s not that exciting, so you aren’t missing much.
– I’ve never gotten lost in a corn maze because I always take a boy scout with me. On my own I would totally get lost!
– I’ve used lipliner, and was underwhelmed.
– Ugh, my parents had a manual lawnmower when I was a kiddo. I have no idea how they did it.
– I never climbed so high as to be a waitress in my food service career. Fast food all the way!
A boy scout sounds VERY useful for a corn maze.
I have only ever been to Taco Bell once in my life and it was to get a churro (which was underwhelming). Gosh, I may need to revisit it for a meal at some point! PS: I wouldn’t even know what to do with lip liner, yikes, haha!
Ditto on the lip liner. I don’t use lipstick so clearly lip liner would be punching wayyy above my weight class 😉
All I have done is eaten at Taco Bell and waitressed. No interest in any of the other things. . . lipliner?? I sure don’t understand the origins of this piece of make-up. . . do women with over-inflated lips still use it?
I’m sure used correctly lip liner is wonderful, but as someone that applies Blistex SPF to her lips and calls it a day, I am not the correct target audience 😉
I have ordered at Taco Bell – can’t go wrong with some crunchy tacos every now and then! And I have applied lip liner. But that’s all I’ve done from this list!
Crunchy tacos sounds delicious; I made Birchie’s homemade version and they are so yummy!
I love this!
Taco Bell is a place I end up, not a place I seek out.
I’ve never ridden a Segway.
I’ve never gotten lost in a corn maze.
I tried lipliner at least once – and it looked terrible.
I have never used a manual (non-motorized) lawnmower. My grandparents had one and they wouldn’t let me near it. Apparently they can be really dangerous.
I’ve never been involved with The Olympics.
I had to look up what ceviche is – and I can definitelly say I’ve never eaten it, and probably never will!
I’ve never waitressed at a restaurant.
I have used a snowblower.
I’ve never had a microblading procedure done.
Maybe the sharp exposed blades are dangerous? I’ve never thought of it before.
You crack me up! I was waiting for your post about how you secretly won the Gold at the last summer Olympics, but didn’t want to brag!
When I was a young girl, I wanted so badly to go to the Olympics and compete in Gymnastics. I was obsessed with Nadia Comaneci, but I didn’t have the talent of her pinkie finger to do so.
I had my eyebrows microbladed in 2022. I was told they would only last 12-24 months, but here I am four years later and I think they still look good. They started a bit dark, but lightened up to a natural shade in a month or two. I have no regrets. https://busybeesuz.com/2022/09/20/eyebrow-you-brow-we-all-brow/
NO TACO BELL for this girl!!
I’ll let you guess about my usage of a snowblower. 🤣
HAHAH. I cannot think of a single thing I could ever do at the Olympics. I can barely walk to the mailbox without grumping about my sore feet or some such nonsense.
Four years! That’s insane!! I thought they usually only last 6 months. You must have had a tremendous aesthetician! That’s amazing!!!! I clicked through and read about it all with great interest. Thanks for linking!!
