…because I’m Kristen’s Meet A Reader guest over at The Frugal Girl talking all things thrifty and frugal.
I’ll be back in my blog space tomorrow to vent about a pet peeve (hey it can’t be Happy Things all the time). Tomorrow also marks Day #1 of our October walking challenge!!!!!!

What a nice surprise to wake up this morning and find you over at Kristen’s house! I found her kind of recently-ish, maybe a year or so ago? I think it was through a link that San posted. Do you remember how you found her blog?
Anyway I won’t say what the special milestone is that you hit that you announced in your guest post because folks need to read it to find out what it is but CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! That’s so cool!
Elisabeth
I don’t think I knew you read Kristin’s blog! I first heard about her a few years ago on the Best of Both Worlds podcast, but for some reason didn’t make the leap to reading (or maybe I didn’t remember she had a blog). I can’t remember how I found her this time – maybe it was through San who remains a central figure in bringing bloggers together!
Thanks. It was a big milestone and one we feel tremendously fortunate to have crossed last week <3

Frugal Girl is one of the first blogs in my feed every day and what a delightful surprise it was to see your shining face and beautiful pictures there this morning! And I’m really enjoying all the love people are pouring over you in the comments. What a great way to start Monday!
Elisabeth
Aww. Thanks, Diane! It’s lovely that a few of these blogging worlds overlapped.

So enjoyed reading your contribution on Frugal Girl. Great to hear a philosophy enjoying the frugal lifestyle without its sounding sort of grueling.
Elisabeth
Thanks Brendalynne!

Great seeing you over at Kristen’s blog. I’ll be checking you out too!
Elisabeth
Thanks for popping over 🙂
Maria
Congrats on that major milestone !!! I enjoyed your guest post AND found a new go me blog!
I can’t remember which post it was that I commented and you mentioned in your reply your kids want to visit New River Beach so replying to that here… If you make it out this way some time let me know! (And if you haven’t done it before the ferry is a fun way to go in one direction or the other.)
Elisabeth
I’m so glad I was able to introduce you to The Frugal Girl!
When you mean the ferry, are you talking Digby to St. John? I used to take that all the time to visit my grandmother (in SJ). Fittingly, when she passed a few years ago I took the ferry to her funeral. Which was sad, but also poignant since that’s always how I went from NS to NB when I visited her.
The kids are obsessed with Race Against the Tide, so I think it would be very fun to visit the beach where it all happens! I’d love to connect <3

It was nice to meet you over there 🙂

So fun you’re a guest on Kirsten’s blog – I’ve been subscribed to her blog for years (I haven’t always read everything and engaged much with her) but it’s so fun to see that others are also following her. Gotta hop over and read your interview!
Elisabeth
Thanks! It’s fun that these blog worlds interested for so many people 🙂
